2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit

Jeep will be adding a pair of premium edition models to its range at the Los Angeles Auto Show taking place later this month. The two cars in question are the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit and Liberty (Cherokee in Europe) Jet Editions. Both new models will have extra standard features, as well as bespoke styling features and will arrive at dealerships next month.

The new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit will be the flagship of the very successful new range. It will feature fresh Rugged Brown, Mineral Gray, White Gold and Black paint finishes. The SUV has a full chromed grille and fog lamp bezels. It also sits on new, 20 inch polished aluminum wheels.

On the inside, the car benefits from Black Olive burl real wood trim on the dashboard, door panels and the leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel. The car also has saddle-color Nappa heated and ventilated leather seats with perforated inserts, accent piping and unique stitching.

The Grand Cherokee Overland Summit comes as standard with Advanced Warning System and Adaptive Cruise Control group, which consists of Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-path detection systems.

Prices start at $42,495 (EUR31,351) for 4x2 models, and at $45,995 (EUR33,933) for the 4x4 versions.

As for the second model that Chrysler will unveil at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2011 Jeep Liberty Jet comes in four new color choices: Bright Silver, Dark Charcoal, Brilliant Black and Blackberry.

The exterior of the car has been changed, thanks to the addition of the 20 inch polished aluminum wheels, fitted with P245/50R20 all-season tires. Other features include chrome lower fascia opening, body side moldings, license plate brow, roof rails and mirror caps, blacked-out headlamps and unique 'Jet' badging.

Standard features on the Jet edition include a 9-speaker premium audio system, security system with supplemental side-curtain air bags, Park Sense rear park assist, available Dark Slate Gray leather seating with accent stitching, heated front seats (available with six-way power function for the driver and two-way for the passenger), leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, and one-touch up/down power windows.

The Liberty Jet is offered as an optional package with an MSRP of $1,495 (EUR1,100).
