What is the top speed of a stock 700 prowler? I have heard a few different answers....

stock prowler hits limiter at 55 mph, hold down overide switch 63 mph

My 650 governs out at 50 mph.

55 mph on the dirt 75 + on the trailer going back to the dealer when the pos breaks down

Not having good luck i take it 2008? do tell as thats what im most interested in... the 1000 is just overkill for me.

front seal was leaking and the front diff would pop when in 4x4 sometimes ! dealer replaced the front diff brought it home 70 + miles away drove about 10 miles the next day a leak again took it back to the dealer they put in a new front seal and test drove it STILL LEAKING !! so a call in to cat today so i will find out this afternoon what will happen ! the dealer told me that they were putting a 1000 xtz together and the rear seals were leaking on a brand new machine I dunno :Bangin:

I guess I got lucky. I have not had any mech problems at all with my 08 700. They replaced all the plastic cause the paint peeled but thats all thats happened.

There are no cdi's or speed limiter delete kits for these?

The 700 should be faster than the 650 due to the higher gearing and more power.

yeah I have to say cat has been really good about warrantying the paint peeling, My 09 T-Cat did this right out of factory warranty and extended does not cover it. long story short I sent the dealer some pics and cat covered the entire body with decals even though Im out of factory warranty and said the only thing is labor is not included, So I got a brand new body with decals and I got to keep my old one to being Im putting on the new one, Ill just wait till the paint gets really bad before I put the new one on. I do have to give cat a big thumbs up on the service with the paint peeling. Im going to use that 3M rock guard stuff thats on the hoods of new cars to keep paint from chipping and Im using it on all the edges to keep it from flaking up on the new body.

You just hold down the override switch like you would in reverse and it overrides the rev limiter. I guess it works on the 700 but it doesn't work for my 650. 50 mph is fast enough from me though, it gets a little squirly on the loose gravel at 45 or so.

I got 82mph on my Prowler...but it's an XTZ
